I'm wondering what makes one response sufficient to constitute a digest, .... Do they get generated at specific times of the day, no matter how many entries there are?
Distribution of digests are triggered by two factors:
1) Once a digest reaches a certain size, it is automatically sent out.
2) At a certain time each day, a digest is sent out.
You will sometimes get a very small digest, because the size threshold for the digest was met shortly before the scheduled distribution. If for example the digest is scheduled for 11:00 am - BUT, it reaches its maximum size at 10:15 am, it will be sent out at 10:15. Then, another digest will be sent out at the scheduled time (11:00 am) even if it only contains one message.
You cannot tell what's in the digest without opening it up and looking.
Digests are only sent if there are messages inside of them. You should never get an EMPTY digest.
Best wishes,
