1) Presidential Politics in this Forum:
Mayor Kelly's endorsement of Bush has opened a small loophole for the discussion of presidential politics in this forum. However, that loophole is very small. If you wish to address the issue of the Mayor's endorsement, please be specific. General comments about the presidential race are not appropriate in this forum, even if the President was recently in St. Paul.

2) Etiquette
Passion about ones politics is a good thing, in my opinion. However, as strongly as we disagree with other folks, there is an expectation of civility in this forum. While the definition of civility is somewhat subjective, I'd like to offer the following guidelines.
a) Address the issue, not the individual. Respond
to what folks have said, without naming them or
pointing fingers at them. This might seem
awkward at times, but it is the way we try to
do things in this forum - and we do so for a
reason. b) Don't "Shame" people in our forum. Please,
consider the phrase "Shame on You" or any
variation to be off-limits - or a violation
of our civility clause. If you feel the need
to express this kind of sentiment to someone,
please find an alternative venue. c) References to "fascism" will almost always
be considered inappropriate and treated as
such.d) Taken From List Guidelines:
"This forum is more about the presentation of
ideas and information than being right with
one's ideology. This discussion forum is NOT
designed for debating abstract political
philosophy, winning an online argument, or
condemning others for their beliefs or
backgrounds."NOTE: We will suspend participation privileges, based upon behavior which we find to be inflammatory or uncivil.
If you have comments, please post them to our rules forum.
