Question.

Does a primary exist when there is no need for one?

Well, the GOP holder of the Sec of State office tried the best they

could to keep Shepard off the ballot and their primary uncontested.

Unfortunately the Supreme Court decided otherwise and is allowing
Sheppard to remain on the ballot. Anyone notice the difference
between the Kiffmeyer SOS office and the previous administrations
handling of the duties?

Despite the fact that he is subject to arrest, and from all news
reports seems to be a pretty unsavory person, and is living in
Rome,
Italy he is gonna be on the ballot running in the primary against
the
endorsed GOP candidate. Kiffmeyer screws up again?

So since the DFL has pretty much NO primary, will they still go to

the polls and instead of voting for Betty, maybe go in and SNFU the

GOP and vote for Sheppard, thus keeping the endorsed candidate off

the general election? nah they wouldn't do that would they? :-)

We got what a week to the primaries and no one is interested in any

of the interesting things going on, or lack thereof, by so many of

the localized campaigns? Still kinda wondering if Carlos (who is
facing three others) hasn't seemed to be doing anything... I see
Ortega is out there doing community meetings and stuff, good for
him.

Maybe they are saving all their energy for the final few weeks?
