Dan Dobson said: "I, for one, will never set foot in Mancini's and Fabulous Ferns again. At least not while Nick Mancini is alive and Charles Sinkler is involved with Fern's. I think I will start to ask all establishments, "Do you allow smoking" and if they do, simply not patronize them." Ah, isn't the free market wonderful! Dennis Tester Mac-Groveland Do you see what's REALLY wrong here? While smoking is the issue at hand, this situation plays out ACROSS THE BOARD in every facet of a capitalistic society. Consider: Non-smokers have to be inconvenienced to find an establishment that doesn't allow smoking. On the other hand: Smokers have to be inconvenienced to find places that allows smoking. But, it's the smokers that are causing the problems and it's they that should be inconvenienced and not the non-smokers, who are the victims. Why should Mr. Dobson have to inconvenience himself while the smokers don't? I would contend that this is the way a capitalistic situation always plays out: The victim getting short sheeted twice. Once by the infraction and once by the system that only recognizes wealth creation and not the infractions caused by the wealth creation or, better said, a system that puts profits before the peoples general interests and, in this case, health.
