Friends:

The Ramsey County Parent Collaborative is an initiative
designed to raise the profile of Early Childhood
Education Issues in our community and to encourage
more parents and community leaders to think creatively
about how we prepare our youngest children for the
transition to K-12 education.

Last week, the collaborative launched a six week
online discussion focused on the topic of Early
Childhood Education in conjunction with this years
election.

We would like to invite YOU, to join with other
interested parents, citizens, professionals, and
public officials in our discussion - about how we
(as a community) can best meet the Early Childhood
Education needs of our children.

  * What do children need to be prepared for kindergarten?
  * Why is it that almost 50% of our children are not ready to
enter kindergarten? What can we do to improve this
    situation?
  * What programs are available?
  * Which programs are most effective?
  * As a community how do we best encourage and support
    early childhood education?

Here is your chance to ask questions and share your
thoughts on Early Childhood Education with other parents
as well experts in the field.
