On November 2, 2004, Saint Paul will join cities across the country in giving
democracy new meaning by participating in an innovative program called Kids Voting.
Children, grades K-12 will join their parents at the polls and cast their votes for
candidates and issues affecting residents across Saint Paul and throughout Minnesota.
Kids Voting is a program that seeks to foster active, engaged and well-informed
citizens by teaching young people good voting habits and the importance of
participation in public elections.

Kids Voting St. Paul needs volunteers to staff some of our precinct sites and help
kids vote on Election Day using the special Kids Voting ballot. The times and sites
where volunteers are still needed on November 2 are: 6:30 - 9:00 am at Prosperity
Heights Rec Center, Hazel Park Rec Center, Conway Rec Center, and Battlecreek Rec
Center; 2:30 -5:30 pm at McDonough Rec Center and Margaret Rec Center; 5:30 - 8:30 pm
at Groveland Rec Center, North Dale Rec Center, Frost Lake Rec Center, Prosperity
Heights Rec Center, Dayton's Bluff Rec and Center.
