What's On Your Ballot? Find out...... http://www.e-democracy.org/myballot/ -----------------------------------------
"Bob Mooney insists that the ongoing tally of votes cast - registered on the scanners - is not public information because, as he reads it, such information could be used to illegally influence the election." I believe this was the reason for the over-reaction in PA today when someone noticed that several voting machines already had several hundred (thousand?) clicks on the meters before the polls even opened. Turns out, the meter someone was reading was the number of times that machine has been used (or so they say, I kind of doubt it). In any event, the governor of PA made the comment the other night that four of his state's counties had more voters registered than the adult populations of those counties! So I suppose that any "votes cast" tally meter might be politically sensitive information if you are concerned about someone comparing votes cast versus eligible adults in that precinct. It might be embarrasing to someone and difficult to explain.
