I am not sure how John concludes that the Kelly machine won with the
re-election of Bush. The President certainly did not do well in
Minnesota.

The question is what role will the mayor play in the next Bush
administration?

OK, I know some a jumping for glee that Kerry is conceeding the
presidential election, and there are others who are crying in the
beer (or coffee, pop, whiskey sour or what ever :-) )

BUT now the Mayors Race is on, and it looks like there is no one
who
is going to be able to challenge Kelly, or anyone who has been
collecting up the money and support that is going to be necessary
to
even have a chance against the Kelly Machine.

So, other than the usual cast of lunitics who run (we all know who
we
mean, those perpetually running candidates), who might be a serious

contender, and who is actually starting anything?
