Thanks to the Macalester students for launching a second discussion in our new [StPaul-Topics] forum. This is a new space designated for short term discussions on focused issues.

A couple of quick notes:

1) This is a St. Paul E-Democracy event, organized and hosted by a group of students from Macalester, who will be introducing themselves later. This is not a Politalk event, Politalk is my own web site where I sometimes host national or international public policy discussions (sorry for the confusion).

2) The Macalester students are hosting this event for all of St. Paul. They very much welcome your participation and feedback.

3) We will try and focus this discussion in the NEW [StPaul-Topics] forum, however it may spill-over into the St. Paul Issues Forum. However, to fully participate in this particular discussion you should register for the [StPaul-Topics] forum. If you need any help, let me know and I'll sign you up.

Sign up for St. Paul topics here:

4) St. Paul Topics will follow the same rules as the St. Paul Issues Forum, except that in St. Paul topics, we expect participants to stay on the very narrow topic that has been defined for that week. This week, the topic is "Revitalizing Downtown."

In addition, posts to the St. Paul topics forum DO NOT count against your 2 posts per day in this forum. However, you are limited to 2 posts per day in each forum.

Best wishes,
