Does anyone know who else might be running? Actually "already" isn't the appropriate term... Randy & his cronies (Fletcher & Co.) will attempt character assassination on whoever runs for mayor. One year is about what it takes to put together the kind of organization that it takes to run this kind of campaign, including forming a committee, fundraising, getting a possible party nomination, voter outreach, etc.

Are there any women out there who have been exploring a run? We need more women to run! It was rumored that Sue Haigh was going to attempt a run. Can anyone confirm or deny that one?

I've been asking around town, trying to volunteer on a campaign that will work sufficiently hard at defeating Randy but so far, no viable candidates are coming forward (sorry Rafael, but I have not heard positive things about your constituent service record, even though you are outstanding at the County Commissioner job).

Since the subject came up here a few weeks ago, I thought I'd mention that
Raphael Ortega is going to be making a "big announcement" tomorrow morning,
November 24th, beginning at 10:30 at the Union Depot. I'm going to go hear what
he has to say.
