"Who Will I Become?" "Kuv Yuav Peem Tsheej Ua Tug Tuabneeg Zoo Le Caag?" is
a one-hour television program that was created to welcome new Hmong refugees
to the Twin Cities. The show highlights personal experiences of coming to a
new land, finding a new life and realizing dreams and hopes in America. In
honor of the Hmong New Year and all of the holidays during this season, "Who
Will I Become?" "Kuv Yuav Peem Tsheej Ua Tug Tuabneeg Zoo Le Caag?" will be
broadcast on Twin Cities Public Television's Minnesota Channel, Channel 17
from 7:00-8:00 PM on Sunday, December 19, 2004.

Beginning in the summer of 2004, Saint Paul and Ramsey County have started
the process of becoming home to several thousand new Hmong residents
arriving from the Wat Tham Krabok refugee camp in Thailand. For these new
arrivals, as for the Hmong citizens that preceded them and all of the
refugees and immigrants who now call Minnesota home, this journey represents
a major emotional, physical and spiritual transition. "Who Will I Become?"
"Kuv Yuav Peem Tsheej Ua Tug Tuabneeg Zoo Le Caag?" is a compelling and
powerful reminder to us all that Minnesota is a land of immigrant peoples
who have each made similar life journeys.

"Who Will I Become?" "Kuv Yuav Peem Tsheej Ua Tug Tuabneeg Zoo Le Caag?" is
available on DVD and videotape through the Saint Paul -Ramsey County
Department of Public Health, and is also available for checkout through the
Ramsey County Library System. The show was developed in the Spring of 2004
through a unique partnership between Twin Cities Public Television, the
Minnesota Department of Health, Hmong American Partnership, St. Paul -
Ramsey County Department of Public Health and Hmoob Thaj Yeeb (Hmong Peace).
