It's a break from the holiday hullabaloo; it's chance to participate with St. Paul's creative community; it's a break from the winter blahs;and it's all FREE!! Artists Studios will be open in the Tilsner, Lowertown Lofts, Northern Warehouse, Northwestern and Jax buildings Visit local merchants who will be showing artwork and offering specials. There will be live music from 2-4pm at Lowertown Lofts Artists Cooperative featuring Raymond Yates (singer song writer all around nice person, with his special guests <http://www.raymondyates.com/>http://www.raymondyates.com/)and Food Team (Ryan Olcott previously of 12 Rods new project http://www.floorshow.com/foodteam/) as well as a very fine and friendly group of artists and their work.
At the Tilsner, there will be UNUSUAL chocolate morsels, and other nice nice artists and friendly folk.
At the Northern there will be events happening at the AZ gallery, Black Dog Cafe and throughout the artist coop, and exhibition at artists individual studios.
In the midst of the farmers market you can get your yearly sacrificial tree, and buy very edible food wares from the brave farmers market sellers who brave the cold.
Lowertown Wine and Spirits will be doing wine tasting and the local restaurants will be opening their doors to every cold person in search of food including Tanpopo Noodle Shop, Sawatee, Christos Greek Restaurant, Black Dog Cafe, and French Press Cafe.
In the evening after you sufficiently recovered from your wanderings from art building to building and had your fill of yummy food, it's time to head up to 375 Jackson St, for the "Blah" show at The Blah Show SPNN (Saint Paul Neighborhood Network) (downtown Saint Paul). The highlight of the 11th Hour Arts Happening: Fight the winter and mundanity "blahs" with a multi-media arts exhibition including film screenings, video art, paintings, drawings, photography, music and theatre performances, 7 p.m.-10pm Admission is free. Dec. 11 .
Featuring the Northern Border Morris Dancers, musical performances by Bethany <http://www.bethanymusic.cc>http://www.bethanymusic.cc, Bryce Beverlin II(<http://www.insidesmusic.com>http://www.insidesmusic.com), Patrick Tierney, Le Cirque Rouge de Gus (There first performance in Saint Paul), a mesmerizing magician named Star, and short video and film of great diversity, and other events that are: ever-expanding and sneaking up on us, unannounced, all happening like a barrage of too much fun. There will be surprises!
