I am all for small locally owned business and co-ops. The more and smaller the better. Owner-occupied, rooted in and known to the community. Aided with low-interest micro loans and fair inspections. Protected from loss-leader carpetbagger union-busting small-business-destroying WalMart and Co. Rejecting the "American Dream" of vast wealth at everyone else's expense. Small town in the big town; the kind of place most people want to live in.
A good example - Central Av NE around Lowry - thriving small businesses, lively, interesting, diverse, fun. More please. --David Shove On Sun, 12 Dec 2004 [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > Some of this list serve may remember George Latimer.
