We don't want to talk about how the city waits for months to send you a card that you have to reply to within 5 days, or you loose you civil rights to due process,
and if it happens to get stuck in inter office mail for a day or two not only do you loose you right to due process but also forfeit you right to taxation with out representation. (certainly they could ask you if you plan to contest the charges long before, and tell you later when the hearing will be.)
We don't want to talk about how the city is starting to use fine print on documentation that contains important clauses about dead lines.
(I'm sure our new refugee friends will appreciate the last two)
We don't want to talk about how Ayd Mill road EIS was paired down to 1 option with no public input.
Or how the people who use to live on the longest historicly preserved boulevard in Minnesota got hoodwinked by a city that can't remember what paper was filed, then refiled with smaller numbers. Do you honestly think UST changed its long term plans?
Or how the city wasted weeks of time putting together a stadium proposal that the majority of people said they didn't want and wouldn't support. while the public school system twists in the wind. (feel free to add other important issues.)
Or how the police refused to protect and serve against GSE at our previous mayors request. or how many people will not be protected or served while their all in meetings trying to come up with some lofty ideas for a new mission statement.
But I guess we get to vote, and any public participation beyond that is a luxury, not a right. right?
So here is something this list should be able to sink their teeth into.
Do you thing people who cherry pick recycling (i.e. aluminum cans) before the recycling truck arrives, raise the cost of our recycling service.
