Somehow I missed the story of the disgruntled ex-lover. I'm curious if Patty thinks this is the issue she's remembering or whether it was, in fact, something relevant. Tim's right that we must try to keep personal stumbles out of the conversation entirely. But I have a feeling there was something else, some conflict of interest that might be relevant. Am I mixing up old history from more than one candidate?
I, too, had Banana's sign in my yard and stumbled out to vote for him on that terrible day. If the election had been postponed, I think he'd have won. Greater turnout would have gone for him.
