I co-chair this Roundtable and we are fortunate to have a great program
coming up in February.  Please share with everyone as we want a full house
especially in the corporate world to hear about the New Americans Initiative
from Jose and the upcoming Minnesota Meeting series on Immigration conducted
by the Minneapolis foundation.  Here's the information:

The Nonprofit Roundtable, Educating Nonprofits and Their Volunteers, will be
held at the Chamber of Commerce Center on Thursday, February 3 from 8 a.m. -
9:30 a.m. 

This Nonprofit Roundtable will focus on the following initiatives:

The New Americans: Minnesota Community Campaign is a civic action campaign
using art, media, education, social service, and policy-making as a tool for
affecting positive change around immigrant issues in the state of Minnesota.

*         The Minnesota Meeting series on immigration in Minnesota is one
piece of a multi-faceted campaign by The Minneapolis Foundation. Entitled,
Discovering Common Ground, the campaign will include public forums (via
Minnesota Meeting), a public art exhibit, distribution of an educational

A House Warming event is a one-hour introductory session about Neighborhood
House and our unique approach to stabilzing families, strengthening families
and connecting them to each other and the broader community to become
successful, active citizens.  Also, the events will inform you about how the
Paul and Sheila Wellstone Center for Community Building will enhance our
ability to serve the community.  Choose one to attend (all sessions located
in Saint Paul):

   * Wednesday, February 16, 5:30-6:30 p.m.

   * Tuesday, March 15, Noon-1:00 p.m.
