The Hmong Resource Center is partnering with Saint Paul Public Schools
Community Education to offer a special one night class to the community
Monday Feb. 7 at Como Park Senior High School in Saint Paul. There is a fee.
Same day registrations accepted by phone. The phone number to register is
below. 

Our Hmong 101 presentation covers a wide range of topics including the
origins of the Hmong, Hmong history, Hmong role in the Vietnam War, the
experiences of the Hmong refugees from Wat Thamkrabok, diversity and social
organization in the Minnesota Hmong community, Hmong clans, Hmong religion,
Hmong funerals, Hmong marriages, the Hmong language and cultural etiquette
for working with traditional Hmong families. There will be plenty of
opportunity to ask questions. 

Here is your chance to ask about anything you ever wondered about Hmong
culture and history!

Hmong: Building Bridges - Teaching about the Hmong in Our Communities

Building Bridges is a program that advances cross-cultural awareness and
enhances cultural competence for service professionals and those interested
in learning more about the Hmong Culture. It covers information ranging from
the history of the Hmong to understanding their beliefs and customs.
