The Hmong Resource Center is partnering with Saint Paul Public Schools Community Education to offer a special one night class to the community Monday Feb. 7 at Como Park Senior High School in Saint Paul. There is a fee. Same day registrations accepted by phone. The phone number to register is below. Our Hmong 101 presentation covers a wide range of topics including the origins of the Hmong, Hmong history, Hmong role in the Vietnam War, the experiences of the Hmong refugees from Wat Thamkrabok, diversity and social organization in the Minnesota Hmong community, Hmong clans, Hmong religion, Hmong funerals, Hmong marriages, the Hmong language and cultural etiquette for working with traditional Hmong families. There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions.
