Will Mark Dayton's endorsement of Kelly help or hurt Dayton's reelection chances in 2006? It seems to me that Kelly's endorsement of Bush and his anti-abortion stance are diametrically opposed to Dayton's positions. I would think that Dayton has miscalculated on this but who knows?
I will say that I was hugely disappointed to see acting like any other craven, calculating politician rather than taking a principled stand based upon his positions. And just on political grounds, Dayton might have done himself some good with Hispanic voters by endorsing Ortega. It might have helped them get over his vote against Gonzalez.
