Technically, I'm not new, but I'm a re-joiner. My name is Paul Skrbec, I moved to St. Paul in 1994 and lived there until 2004. During my last few years, I was a W 7th Street neighborhood activist/organizer and small business owner. I spent some time working on Thune's campaign (ok, I confess, I spent more than 'some' time).
In May of '04, my partner and I closed our business, sold our home on Randolph and moved out to West St. Paul. 5 months later, I re-entered the corporate world and we moved to Inver Grove Heights. My long-term plan is to get my tail back into Ward 2 before Thune is back up for re-election in '07 because I want to be have fun explaining to constituents that he didn't really say "penis" on the John Daily show bit a few months ago. :) Currently, I'm the communications director for Stonewall DFL, the GLBT caucus of the state DFL party.
