We greatly appreciate the overwhelming response (approximately 350) to our on-line Midway shopper survey. We have now posted the preliminary results on our web site (www.universityunited.com <http://www.universityunited.com/> ) in two parts: graph/numerical format, and open-ended narrative comments. We will continue to tabulate responses until March 1, and will give a final update of our results at that time.
It probably takes about an hour to read all narrative comments. It's pretty clear that most respondents are calling for upgrading the Midway shopping environment and experience. It's encouraging that many people are willing to participate in and support such efforts. Over 100 people volunteered to serve on a Retail Advisory Group to work with local merchants, property owners and public officials. University UNITED is now seeking to build upon this survey, and is in the process of organizing a Retail Advisory Group, and a University Avenue Merchants Association.
