Yes, it does appear that after a nationwide marketing effort, a long period
of due diligence, a sophisticated development team crunching the numbers for
weeks on end....
Only one bidder appeared willing to make serious offers on the land and
buildings.* And although the market had spoken, it apparently hadn't spoken
richly
enough, and the one bid made by a qualified bidder for the land was rejected.
And because of some really odd conditions placed on those who would bid on
the ethanol plant, none of the bidders wanted that stuff, either.
This is all just weird. It's like some animosity for the neighborhood has
replaced rational thought.

asked to leave before the serious bidding commenced.
