Hello E-Democracy readers,

E-Democracy is working to systematically engage St. Paul voters in an online discussion for election 2005. To kick things off, we have contacted the known candidates for public office and asked them for two things:

a) an introduction to the candidate, 500 words or less, and

b) three endorsements from St. Paul community members,
    250 words or less.

Their responses will be published over the coming day in subsequent emails, and posted on a permanent archive at http://www.e-democracy.org/stpaul/election-2005/.

The Chris Coleman, Randy Kelly and Rafael Ortega campaigns were each contacted by telephone (twice if necessary), starting last week. To date, we only have secured responses from the Coleman and Ortega campaigns, and those are published starting today. If we receive similar response from any other candidates, we will similarly publish them soon after we receive them.

If you wish to post a candidate introduction or endorsement, DO NOT POST THEM DIRECTLY TO THE FORUM, or they will not be archived. An email will follow very shortly on how to submit endorsements and introductions. If you have questions, or comments, email us at [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Thanks in advance, and happy reading!
