At 8:30 p.m. this evening (Monday, 3/14), I received a call from Senator
Dick Cohen, saying that he last talked to Senator Pappas this morning
(Monday, 3/14) and that she was firm in her resolve to keep the Holman
Field floodwall out of the bonding bill. Senator Cohen said that the
bonding conference committee will reconvene Tuesday (3/15) afternoon.
I wanted to report Senator Cohen's news immediately to the Issues
Forum. At this point in the legislative process, rumors abound and
bills actually do evolve from minute to minute. But until the
committee makes its final vote, I believe your calls and emails will
continue to make a difference.
