Tim's rumor appears to be true. I went over to the Linwood Community Center
early this morning and there was a polling place, with a flag and all, so I
think I voted. I gave them my name and they gave me this big piece of paper
that only had two names on it, Toni Carter and Anne Harris, so I filled in one
of those little circles and stuck it in a machine and the number changed from
24 to 25 around 8:20 A.M.

They gave me one of those cute little Red stickers that says, "I Voted", so I
guess I must have.

Later when I was at PetSmart, a young woman saw the sticker and said "Boy the
election season is starting earlier and earlier". I explained that todays
election was to fill Susan Gaertner's vacant seat on the Ramsey County Board
and I could tell I immediately overloaded her circuits.

She then proudly proclamed that she had only voted once in her life and it was
for Bill Clinton, because she couldn't follow "All those people". I then asked
her when she voted for Bill and she said "I don't remember who he was running
against." When I said it had to be Bush the Elder or Bob Dole, she then
remembered that she voted for Clinton when he was running against Bush Senior.

So if you're one of those people who vote once every 13 years, today may be
your day.
