Using the forum to complain about the rules or rules violations is against the rules (see #9 - http://e-democracy.org/rules/ ) !

Rule #4)

   4. Be Civil - No insults, name calling or
       inflamed speech.

Just to let you know. Political leaders and candidates are people and are covered by our rules. There is no reason to resort to name calling and insults of candidates or elected officials in this space.

While I appreciate the increased interest in the mayoral campaign, I'd like to think that we can have this discussion without the name calling. In fact, we need to have the discussion without the name calling, or I'll have to start removing people from the forum.

Examples - for the purposes of this forum, the following comments will be considered name calling:

   1) "Chris Coleman is a notorious hothead"
   2) "I just thought [correctly] that Kelly was
       just being a prick"

Neither of these comments were necessary to make the point being made, nor will they be tolerated in the future.

Does anyone have anything positive to share about the candidate that they are supporting - or can we look forward to a purely negative campaign of namecalling and insults?

Please, lurkers - help change the tone of the discussion, by posting something positive yourselves! Don't let a handful of people set the entire tone in our forum.

Best wishes,
