Today's Ny Times has an article about the companies
that are being hired to tutor children enrolled in
failing schools. I gather that the No Child Left
Behind Act requires school districts to offer free
tutoring to students enrolled in failing schools. This
has created a $200 million a year, publically financed
business that is virtually unregulated. This is not to
say that none of the companies involved do a good job
but there seems to be plenty of problems out there
requiring some oversight.

Does anyone know whether our schools are using these
companies or similar entities?
