As a student and a budding new progressive, I can't help but not forget attending a city council meeting I think was back in February of 2003 in support of a resolution opposing unilateral military action against Iraq. I remember how very disappointed I was and most of the other in attendence that Councilmember Chris Coleman tabled that resolution and that Coleman then introduced a watered-down substitute resolution with no real substance to it. Nothing ventured and nothing gained. Progressive, I think not.

Let us all remember that this bloody war is still going on. A couple more dead Americans again yesterday.
