I think a series of alternate universe State of the City speeches would be a
gas.
SPNN needs to breed local comic talent! What about these:
Small Children reenacting council meetings (I stole this from the Daily Show).
Mayoral speeches dubbed over visuals of animals talking a la Mr. Ed.
âAs City Hall Turnsâ with dramatic, thin, beautiful people arguing in the
halls about TIF
districts and then throwing drinks in each others faces and slapping others
occasionally.
Music videos about rezoning.
A situation comedy about bonding projects with a pilot episode centering on the
GLBT reaction to
a press release that misspells one crucial word in the âDike around the
Airportâ proposal.
A variety show highlighting the varied talents of forum participants and
bloggers from St. Paul.
(ok, forget that one)
