Jay: I reckon this is not 100% easy and natural, but please do not send HTML emails to this list. Yet there are dark forces working hard to make everyone send HTML emails, the most common culprit being Gmail. The easiest way out is to force your email client settings to always send plain text emails. If you are using Gmail? you just have to switch to "plain text mode" once using the conspicuously hidden little triangle button on the lower right of an email popup when sending or replying to an email and it should hopefully remember your choice. And you can check that you are sending plain text indeed by checking this button. See also http://www.catb.org/esr/faqs/smart-questions.html#formats for related guidelines.
