Thanks for your contribution. Unfortunately, this demo program (as well as other ones in the test directory) is long abandoned. However, your e-mail has motivated to update both this demo (see commit ec548045) and description for the whole directory (see commit f9390b96). It may worth noting that currently strace employs test suite located in tests directory.
