Oh, such a clever "gotcha!," Brian. You must be so proud. Gothcha! Gothca! How
juvenile.

At least Republicans have some principles. As best I can tell, Democrats don't
have any, so they can never be accused of breaking them.

''These two entities -- Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac -- are not facing any kind
of financial crisis,'' said Representative Barney Frank of Massachusetts, the
ranking Democrat on the Financial Services Committee. ''The more people
exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the
less we will see in terms of affordable housing." -- Barney Frank in 2003
leading a successful effort stop legislation that would impose stricter
controls on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

Do you want to start a pissing match about which party is more deeply
responsible for the current financial crisis? Or, would you rather stand down
for a few minutes and let our elected officials work in a non-partisan manner
to resolve the current crisis?

I seem to recall that the candidate you support once stood for that. Why are
you so eager to be partisan, particularly on such an important issue that
requires bi-partisanship for problem solving?
