Maybe if a few more politicians get stung by these DMCA takedowns, they won't just blindly accept what Viacom's lawyers tell them and call all the rest of use thieves and pirates. They MIGHT een get off their asses and fix the DMCA. (although, in the cases mentioned here, only the Fox News one might possibly be considered fair use. Using copywritten music without permission, even for political commercials, is a no-no. ESPECIALLY if the copyright holder doesn't like your politics.
