this is just a thought that came into my head ...... given the fairly recent integration of US society ... i mean i was thinking it was just a little while ago they bought some 70 year old kkk guys to justice for randomly lynching a black teenager in the 50's the civil rights movement isn't that long ago [ within my lifetime ] and from here it does seem that there is a big culture divide with separate music movies and 'culture moments' just little things you almost never see african american families in the crowd at shuttle launches .... south park even makes a joke of " Token" sports stars and movie stars singers etc seem the only crossovers oh and condaleeza rice looking from the outside you can actually catch yourself viewing it as two separate 'nations' i thought i wonder what kind of culture difference an African American president will make and i just realized that in the dozen or so trips i have made to the US i have never met an African American socially and only worked with one [ a very lovely lady] and had a fab conversation with a guy on a flight from LA to new york interesting mx > > > --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "StrataList-OT" group.
