a lot of details are missing. priors on the kid, does the teacher for the class verify his claim, if the teacher encouraged the story,why isn't she/he stepping up, what exactly was the concern of the grandparents, was something else behind their getting the local police involved... if libraries contain similarly written fiction, wouldn't they be equally accountable as being in possession. something smells a little fishy about the whole story and i'm guessing it rests in the d.a.'s office. authority figures can take common things and misrepresent intent... i bet there are bigger crime issues in lex. ky. than busting kids for writing.... -- "...don't tell them anything! they haven't even tortured you yet!"
