I would not advocate running anything that is supposedly free on important systems.
If you wanted to travel 1000 miles, and the options were to: either, take a flight on a commercial airline that has been going for 20 years, is 100% reliable, provides an excellent support service and is focused on commercial air travel... but at a reasonable price. Or... , take a trip in a plane that may or may not get you there, is inexperienced, provides no support... but that's not a problem because this plane can also turn in to a car, or a boat?.... but the good news it's FREE :o) The adage I observe is, "Buy cheap, buy twice... find it for free and take the consequences". As an aside, many commercial products do provide educational discounts... so it is always worth contacting them. All the best with your free support software!
