With problem with ID is many of its proponents -- especially laymen  
-- jump to conclusions. The same can be said of its many detractors  
-- they jump to conclusions. The ID proponents may be on to something  
with the concept of "irreducible complexity," but once found, they  
stop and claim it's proof of a creator. They should be looking  
further into what gives those systems the appearance of "intelligent  
design."

I believe it's perfectly okay to examine patterns of intelligence and  
seek the source of that intelligence. Or sources. Who cares if it  
proves the existence or absence of God? That shouldn't matter.
