Mole? That's the way incendiary way to characterize his role in the  
Watergate investigation.

I think the correct title is Chief Minority Counsel of the Senate  
Watergate Committee. Since the Republicans were in the minority in  
Congress at that time, it makes sense to me that he'd represent the  
interests of the Republican Party or inform the president on the  
committee's activities.

Besides, his questioning lead to public knowledge of the tapes, which  
lead to Nixon's downfall. Me wonders how they spin that factoid at  
the DailyKos ...
