Being skeptical of AGW is not the same as believing there is no global warming. However, it's worth noting that the Earth has been cooling since 1998, not warming as alarmists like Hansen, Gore and their cheerleaders in the press would have you believe. This is consistent with observations first gleaned hundreds of years ago -- an increase in sun spots results in a warmer climate. Conversely, a decrease in sun spots -- which is what we've been seeing -- results in cooler global temperatures. Alarmists consistently ignore this fact, or give it far too little weight in their climate models. A note about those climate models -- they can't even predict current or past climate behavior, which is reason enough to be skeptical of their ability to predict future climate. Alarmists have not proven that adding more CO2 to the atmosphere will increase temperatures. Instead, they resort to the same tactics as you do when challenged. Their level of hysteria is increasing, largely because their unproven theories are taking a beating of late. The number of climate scientists that are skeptical of AGW is increasing. Their numbers include former proponents of AGW as well as scientists that contributed to the IPCC report, which is a political report not a scientific consensus as it's often -- and incorrectly -- presented.
