love surveys

"The survey of 1,000 Likely Voters was conducted on September 18-19, 2010 "

i wonder what the selection criteria was .. mm geographic

 actual demographic spread
"census"

and mode of delivery

i like that they use an automated voice ..... though

"Typically, calls are placed from 5 pm to 9 pm local time during the week.
Saturday calls are made from 11 am to 6 pm local time and Sunday calls from
1 pm to 9 pm local time."

they are the dreaded unsolicited dinner time callers

"Data from our monthly partisan identification survey is used to set
weighting targets for other Rasmussen Reports surveys. The targets are based
on results from the previous three months."

though of course if you ask 1000 people

if they thought it was false , unlikely , possible, probable , likely ,
established or definite that a slug will turn into a butterfly

and 52% say definite and 40% say false

it wont mean a thing to either life cycle of slug or butterfly

[ i mean no negative stereotyping nor bias re: invertebrates ]
