The banks made a small private company the owner of record of most of the 
mortgages made during the boom. The problem? The owner of record is supposed to 
be the trusts whose holdings make up the RBS'es.

It ain't just some 'missing paperwork'. It's entirely possible that no one 
actually knows who owns what by now. The next economic bubble might well be 
real estate litigation if the 'smnartest guys in the room' can only figure out 
how to securitize that....
