The Ohio legislature, Republican dominated, approved early voting that
overlapped the registration period.
For 1 week, you could walk into the BOE & register & vote the same day.
No way the BOE could check you out & no provisions were made to isolate
the ballots.
lokel NAACP took full advantage of it.
County prosecutor(R) went apeshit & threatened the BOE with legal
action. That was dicey since the county's counsel was the county prosecutor.
Republicans cried to the Secretary of State (D). She said, "you guys
made the rules - change 'em"
Republicans carry on to this day about the rampant voter fraud of that
election & what a partisan hack the SOS was.
Of course they didn't change anything. All the same people are in office.
Early voting this time around shows Reps in the lead.
Everything is fine.
