Or when Daylight Savings Time starts, or when Daylight Savings Time ends, or 
Thanksgiving, or Christmas, or New Year's Eve or New Year's Day. Seems as 
though they take every opportunity possible to remind folks to change those 
batteries, which is good.

We had a smoke/CO2 detector that went off and wouldn't stop, even in the fresh 
air after following the manufacturer's reset instructions. That was a pretty 
indicator that the unit was bad. Trying to find a replacement that wasn't made 
in China was difficult. They do not yet have a clue when it comes to quality 
control.
