Our own governor reigned mid-term, but that's because she was appointed Director of Homeland Security. Arizona's actually has a string of 'em in recent years, due to deaths in office, appointments to federal positions or impeachment, but to be perfectly honest no governor I know quit for no particularly rational reason. (her stated reason that she couldn't govern because of the ethics investigations made no sense whatsoever, but it certainly made her persecution complex quite clear. Also, the fact that almost the next day she announced lucrative book deals, talking engagements and TV plans made it painfully obvious that at least in part, she quit to cash in. An admirably capitalist thing to do, not so admirable in a public servant. <cartman/> Screw you guys, I'm going hoooome!</cartman> ) -- Bruce Johnson University of Arizona College of Pharmacy Information Technology Group Institutions do not have opinions, merely customs -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "StrataList-OT" group.
