If his daughter was an adult, like all the ones Weiner did this with, richardsan might be upset, but it's his daughter's life at that point. Also, given that at least some of this is turning out to be a conservative ratfucking <http://tinyurl.com/6x99y9s>, and they're stating that it is 'creepy' for a grown man to be following a minor, they're explicitly advocating that it is somehow wrong for an adult male to communicate in any fashion with a minor child. They love to emphasize that word 'following' cause it sounds al stalkery/scary.
