Current RH is 7%. We've had 72 (iirc) days without any measurable precipitation, none expected for at least another couple weeks (and only a couple inches total since last november.. VERY dry winter). Damn northern jet stream is keeping our monsoon-bringing 4-courners high pressure ridge from getting to the four corners region.
It's dustbowl dry here...I patted Tikka yesterday and it was like Pigpen from Peanuts...a huge cloud of dust came off her. I'm kind of surprised that things aren't just bursting into flame spontaneously...and thanks to our morons in the Lege, who legalized fireworks this year, there are fireworks stands all over the place. But don't worry, we can't buy the ones that fly up into the air and make fire, or the ones that just go boom...we can only get the ones that stay on the ground and make fire. and fire and fire and fire...
