Do you actually believe your own drivel?

When NY state raised taxes on the wealthy two years ago, they left NY and
revenues dropped.

And, young people are currently leaving NYC. High taxes means => reduced
economic activity => fewer good jobs.

There's a reason Texas has produced the same amount of jobs as the rest of the
country over the past 2 or 3 years. High tax rates isn't one of them.

But I'm not entirely opposed to tax increases. Currently, about half the
citizens of this country don't pay any taxes. They need some skin in the game.

That's why I support a national sales tax (and only a national sales tax) over
the current tax system. Everyone would contribute according to their means.
Wealthy people, who tend to by more stuff, would pay more taxes.

And no corporate taxes. They don't pay taxes anyway -- they just collect it.
There'd be no incentive for them to scheme with loopholes either. And it would
tend to even the playing field and put a dent in some crony capitalism.

But the most pressing issue facing the US today is federal government spending.
We have to cut it severely. Start with ag subsidies and energy subsidies. Adopt
a policy where no financial institution is too big to fail (or any company too
small to succeed!) Bringing troops home from Europe and Japan. Get out of NATO.
I'm open for debate on our wars in the Middle East.

Take away the crown jewel of socialism -- Obamacare. We can't afford it. At
least not without throwing our senior citizens under the bus (which is what
Democrats are actually doing while unfairly accusing Paul Ryan of same).

The federal government must reduce spending to current revenue levels. At $2.2
trillion per year (which has been a fairly steady revenue stream) that will
still leave us with a huge and powerful.

The only ones that will complain are those living off government largesse.
