'no longer supports' makes it sound a lot worse than the actual case which is "Standard at Last! Standard at Last! Thank GNU Almighty Java is standard at last!" There is no longer a special, not-quite-the-same-as-everybody-elses Apple ported version of Java, we get to get good old standard Java like the rest of the world. (well at least the rest of the Non-WIndows world and WIndows folks who have replaced MS's version with Sun/Oracle Java.)
