Booting in safe mode still works (hold down the shift key while booting up) that might clear some problematic caches involving startup. Beyond that I'm mostly still chasing bugs in 10.7 and haven't upgraded any of my production systems to it, so I'm not getting a lot of hands-on. (one thing I've been chasing is that drivers for one of our big network copiers/printers seemed to be a problem, it would work sometimes, and not others. Finally found, on the Australian regional support site of the manufacturer, the notation that these drivers cause TextEdit and Preview to crash.
