We should check his portfolio for shipbuilder stocks.

In a widely reported Foreign Policy speech at 'The Citadel' yesterday Mitt
Romney advocated Cold War levels of shipbuilding for the US Navy accelerate
shipbuilding to levels comprable to the Cold War, based in no small part to
this claim :

"China has made it clear that it intends to be a military and economic
superpower. Will her rulers lead their people to a new era of freedom and
prosperity or will they go down a darker path, intimidating their neighbors,
brushing aside an inferior American Navy in the Pacific, and building a global
alliance of authoritarian states? "

"Brushing aside the "inferior" US Pacific Fleet??

China's existing and planned fleet of capital ships: Souce
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/People's_Liberation_Army_Navy#Ships>

Class Existing Planned
Submarines 58 7-9
Carriers 0 1
Cruisers 0 0
Destroyers 26 2
Frigates 51 3

The rest of the Chnese fleet consists of their coastal fleet of missile boats,
torpedo boats and gun boats. Note, the vast majority of Chinas submarine fleet
(47 of the total) are diesel electric 'conventional' submarines.

US Navy:

Class Existing Planned
Submarines 69 11
Carriers 11 3
Cruisers 22 0
Destroyers 59 6
Frigates 29 0

The US is also building or planning large numbers of apmhibious assault and
littoral combat ships.

Why is Mitt Romney lying to us?

Also in his speech he proudly tells the Military Academy of South Carolina

"It's a great honor to be in South Carolina, where patriotism is a passion that
tops even barbeque and football. "

That would be THIS South Carolina:
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Fort_Sumter>

"Since 1842, every tyrant, petty thug or great power that threatened America
learned that if you wanted to take on America, you were taking on the Citadel.
That's a line of heroes that's never broken and never will be. "

And THIS Citadel:

Some patriotism...
