I guess you all have seen the sydney harbor bridge ?

anyhow it as a pedestrian walkway on the eastern side and a bikeway on the
western side ... it is possibly a kilometre of so to get from one side to
the other ...

it has security guards who walk up and down all day ... and I guess security
cameras on it a big cage fence with a top that curves in ... probably a
good idea as it used to be a popular spot for jumpers sadly

anyhow the guards can't do much about the photography as it is a tourist
mecca the probably look out for professional looking cameras but that would
be because they charge really large fees of people who want to
take pix of any city building ..... so they don't have so much to do but
walk up and down all day ....

this story made the papers some hapless person got their bike up onto
the eastern pedestrian side [ lots and lots and lots of stairs maybe four
floors worth ] and was happily riding along .. the security must have seen
him on the cameras .... they would have very little to watch except for
traffic that late .... and went and waited for him and the other end ....
so he can see the exit etc as they make him ride all the way back across
..... down all those stairs and there is no easy connection on the ground
between the eastern and western sides he would have had to ride around to
find the bike ramp [which he probably did know about or he would have used
it in the first place instead of the stairs then re ride across the bridge]

these fun people [the guards ] have guns
